Become a Yakamoo Merchant: Your Local Products, a National Market

2 min read

A new short video from Yakamoo walks through what a merchant account actually gives you — a multi-vendor marketplace, marketing support behind your products, and a setup you can finish on your phone.

Ask any small producer where the ceiling is, and it is usually the size of the crowd they can reach. A good batch of honey, a sack of well-dried cacao, a delicacy that sells out every fiesta — all of it stops at the edge of the barangay.

This short video, which follows our earlier introduction to the platform, is about lifting that ceiling. It answers one question: what happens when you register as a Yakamoo merchant.

One marketplace, many kinds of sellers

Yakamoo is a multi-vendor marketplace. That means you are not building a store alone in an empty corner of the internet — you are joining a market that buyers already come to.

The video names what you can sell through it:

  • Fresh produce

  • Processed foods and local delicacies

  • Coffee, cacao, and honey

  • Organic products

  • High value crops and other local products

It is a deliberately wide list. A farmer with a harvest and a home-based food producer with a label both belong on the same platform.

You don't have to market alone

This is the part most small sellers underestimate. Listing a product is easy. Getting it seen is the hard work, and it usually falls entirely on the seller.

Yakamoo puts community-driven marketing support behind the products on the platform:

  • LGU partnerships — working with local government units so local products get local backing

  • Influencer promotions and affiliate marketers — people already talking to the buyers you want

  • Social media campaigns — reaching customers where they already scroll

  • Live stream selling — the format Filipino buyers have taken to fastest

  • Digital advertising support — paid reach for products that are ready for it

Getting started takes a smartphone

No new equipment, no thick manual. Using the phone already in your pocket, you create a merchant account, upload your products, receive orders, and grow your customer network from there.

That is the whole barrier to entry. It is set low on purpose, because the producers who most need a bigger market are rarely the ones with an office and a laptop.

More than a marketplace

The video is clear that selling is only the entry point. Yakamoo is framed as an ecosystem for business, agriculture, and food security — one where merchants, farmers, and local communities grow together rather than compete for the same narrow local demand.

When a farmer can sell directly, a processor can find raw material nearby, and an LGU can point buyers toward its own producers, the money stays in the community.
